About Choice 2010 - The Launch Event for GCI Hyderabad. Conducting a counseling event for IIT/ NIT aspirants to provide them information that will enable decision making on the courses (branch of engineering) to be taken. The first of its kind event in the country where distinguished Alumni who are professionals working in that domain for at least 15 years will provide practical knowledge of the domain and guidance to aspirants. Event Objective The event is aimed at IIT aspirants and their parents. The objective is to provide them with an overview of the various engineering streams in IITs, the nature of courses, the opportunities available post graduation and the recent trends in the areas. The event will have speakers who are practicing professionals in the specific areas of engineering. It will benefit the students and parents by providing clarity as well as data on the opportunities available in different Engineering streams and help them take decision on course selection. They will be able to take their decisions based on objective data as well as inputs provided by practicing professionals. Gajendra Circle Initiative (GCI). Gajendra Circle (GC) Initiative is a subset of IITM alumni asspciation, and is aimed at building the IIT Madras brand and strengthening the Institute resources. It has been structured as a collection of city specific cells.GC Hyderabad was constituted in April 2010 with the aim to take up activities which strengthen IIT Madras and have a good resonance with the core team. IIT Madras Alumni Association IIT Madras Alumni Association is a not-for-profit organization representing around 30,000 Alumni of IIT Madras across the world. The organization focuses on activities that strengthen the parent Institute as well as contribute positively to the society at large. It operates through its local chapters in all the major cities across the world.
